The purpose of having the RV60 celebration was to celebrate our school’s 60th birthday, together as a school, regardless whether we were still studying in RV or whether we had already graduated, and were part of the alumni. I think it is important as through this entire process, we got to work together to play a part in our school's celebration, no matter how small our part might have been. It helped us to understand more about teamwork as we worked together to make this one and only RV60 a success, and it turned out great!

Some issues that occurred included a generator down and some mistakes occurring on the night of the preview. On the actual day itself, only a few minor mistakes were made by the performers. It has rained only a few hours before and we were all worried that it would rain again and force us to stop the performance. Fortunately, not a drop of rain fell from the sky and the sky was beautiful, a mix of pink and blue. We were all thankful for the great weather, and we gave the performance our best shot!

This situations are not unique to our RV60 performance only. For example, a light generator can stop working in any performance, and rain can cause any performance to come to a halt, though in cases like NDP, the performance will still go on. I think people volunteer because they wish to play a part in celebrating their Singapore’s birthday, that only happens once a year. They want to be able to perform together with other Singaporeans as one, and make the parade the best that anyone has ever seen!

I think that the students in RV have a lot of school pride and even more school spirit! Not only did we work hard for RV60, we also strengthened our school spirit after we had performed together as one RV. We encouraged one another, and continued to cheer each other on, wishing each other the best on the day if the performance!

Based on our inference, some assumptions that we made was that it would not rain heavily on that day itself. We also assumed that nothing would go wrong on that day, and thus, the light generator that stopped working was quite a surprise to us.

Some implications/consequences when students view negatively towards to their own school is that they will not be willing to work hard for the school on their own accord. This means that if they perform for RV60, not 100% of their effort will be put in. I think that majority of us do not view negatively towards RV and this was made RV60 so great – all of us put in our 100% for this grand celebration.

Many things make me proud to be an RVian, but there a few things that are the most important to me. Firstly, I think that I am very proud to be part of such a great group of students, who work hard to do their best for the school. Secondly, I think that the bond that we have is one to be proud of as we are all very close to each other. We support each other and encourage each other as we go along, and help anyone should they need help. Last but not least, the thing that I am the proudest of is our RV school spirit. This is the most important to me because I think that our school spirit is very strong. As we performed you could feel the RV spirit when the alumni who had already graduated stood up and sang along to the school song. It could also be felt as we performed together as one RV and made the performance a blast!
